MMSA Announces Facade Program

The Merced Main Street Association (MMSA) recently announced at its monthly July Meet & Greet a new façade grant program that is now available to Downtown Tax District property or business owners. A business owner may participate in the program, with a letter of consent from the property owner. The mission of the façade grant program is to encourage property owners to improve the appearance of buildings in the Downtown tax district.

Funds are only available for exterior improvements, and may be applied to a front, side, or rear façade, provided the façade faces a public street. Grants will be based on 50% of the total façade renovation costs with a grant maximum of $3,000 and a grant minimum of $250. Work must be pre approved by the MMSA, with funding reimbursed once the project has been completed. Buildings must be located in the Downtown tax district to be eligible.

Due to limited funds, the MMSA will process applications in the order they are received. More information and an application for the new program is available under the programs tab or by clicking HERE.
