The Merced Main Street Association (MMSA) recently announced, at its monthly Meet & Greet, a new sponsorship program intended to incentivize public events in the Downtown area.  The Celebrate Downtown program offers up to $500 in sponsorship to cover the cost of permitting and insurance requirements for public events being presented within the Downtown BID tax district.

“Our hope is that this program goes some way towards further defining Downtown Merced as an arts & entertainment district, a cultural crossroads, and a place for our community to celebrate together”, says Joey Essig, MMSA vice president.

Due to limited funds, the MMSA will process sponsorship applications in the order they are received. More information and an application for the new program is available on the MMSA’s website at under the programs tab or by clicking HERE.
